Insurance Industry – Loss Adjuster

Loss Adjusters are retained to assess claims and "adjust" the losses claimed by the insured customer to establish what may or may not actually be covered by the policy.

Once that has been established, the loss adjuster then liaises with the insured to ensure that all entitlements under the policy are provided and the insured is put back into the position it was in before the claim, as much as is allowed under the policy. This may also involve coordinating any remedial or rectification steps required as a result of the claim.
