Engaging Graduates

Engaging Graduates

On 21 May 2019, YIPs WA attended a careers exhibition targeting soon to be high school graduates.  The careers exhibition was a joint initiative by two of Perth’s leading Northern Suburbs high schools - St. Mark's Anglican Community School & Sacred Heart College.  Exhibitors included a representatives of a range of professional and trade associations and the exhibition was attended by over 500 students and parents.

Alex Rowland, Anna Miolin, Justin Micale, Nicol Lane, and Ryan Tozer were onsite to promote the Insurance Industry as an attractive option for students of all backgrounds and disciplines.  They provided students and their parents a great deal of information including the huge opportunity that both high school and university graduates have within the insurance industry.  It was clear that students were generally unware of the employment opportunities offered by the Insurance Industry – with many surprised to learn about the scale and range of roles available.

The night was a great success with many students and their families interested to find out more about insurance and potential career pathways. YIPs is committed to promoting the Insurance Industry as a positive and chosen career and were pleased to have the opportunity to attend the exhibition.  Although not our intended purpose of the night, we even had a few parents interested in joining insurance - but we couldn't blame them!
