The future of our industry is reliant on the attraction and retention of ambitious, motivated and intelligent young professionals. At YIPs we believe in spreading the word about insurance as a career of choice to a broad spectrum of university Graduates.
A diverse industry such as insurance is perfectly suited to graduates from a broad range of backgrounds. With industry sectors ranging from Agriculture to Aviation, Property to Professional Indemnity, you don’t need to have a degree in finance to work in this insurance!
Graduate Engagement Initiatives
YIPs is currently working on a number of initiatives to engage with Undergraduates directly, to show them that insurance is not only a viable option upon leaving university, but a desirable choice for any Graduate who seeks a challenging, varied and financially rewarding career.
These initiatives include:
- YIPs presence at careers fairs in universities across Australia & New Zealand, promoting the insurance industry;
- Discussions with insurance companies regarding promoting their graduate programs and internships directly to universities; and
- Inviting undergraduates to mingle and network with our young professional members at dedicated events, and learn what insurance is all about.
